Design development for a skincare device based around the client's scientifically developed skincare system.
Explored a number of potential form factors which were put through consumer testing. Based on these outcomes, the most successful concept was chosen to take forward to market.
I worked closely with the client's technical partner and suppliers to develop the concept through to the manufacturer whilst maintaining design intent through many rounds of iteration. Many technical challenges were overcome throughout this phase related to specification changes, manufacturing process and material limitations which all influenced subtleties of the final design.
Throughout the design phases, we made proof-of-principle mockups and appearance models from the surface data. This data was also used directly by the technical partner to continue the design-for-manufacture phase in SolidWorks with my close collaboration.
The product is currently going through the manufacturing tooling development phase.
