Detailed 3D modelling for the roof structure and associated elements of the iconic Aquatics Centre for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Worked closely with the design team at Lakesmere who were commissioned to design and implement the roof structure and deliver it on site for construction. Rationalised the organic form into hundreds of sections suitable for fabrication within the manufacturing specification.

As the core design team had just started using Rhino 3D in their workflow within the business, I integrated with them to share my 3D modelling expertise, defining the modelling strategies for the team to create all parts as 3D data to build a complete digital model of the roof. This collaboration kept the project on schedule.
