Exterior Lighting Concept

We designed this concept during a work internship at the architectural lighting company, Marlin Lighting. The brief was for a new range of high-output exterior lighting, utilising a new high-efficiency optical reflector.

Proposing a strong, geometric aesthetic, with the head cantilevered from the pole on a 'loop' type form, the loop could ultimately house other services, like cameras, or smaller directional lights.

We researched the market, ideated, designed, and modelled (physical and digital, using Pro-E). Working with the manufacturing engineers in parallel, the concept was developed considering production feasibility for the processes of extrusion and casting.
